Internet Security Guard

Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Internet Security Guard is a member of a group of rogue anti-malware products that create inaccurate error messages to confuse you about your computer's actual health. These attacks are primarily to convince you to spend money on buying Internet Security Guard, although Internet Security Guard itself lacks any sort of genuine features for finding or removing PC threats. These dangers, while annoying, are negligible compared to Internet Security Guard's browser hijacks and ability to shut down programs without your consent, which, in some cases, can push Internet Security Guard up to being a high-level threat to your computer's safety. SpywareRemove.com malware analysts recommend that you save your money for real security products and remove Internet Security Guard's sham of an imitation via thorough system scans.
Internet Security Guard: More of a Guard from Your Own Security Than Anything Else
Although Internet Security Guard pretends to be a Microsoft-certified program, SpywareRemove.com malware experts have found that Internet Security Guard is a simple clone of past brands of fake anti-malware programs and can neither detect nor get rid of any type of trojan, virus or other PC threat. In an effort to create an appearance to the contrary, Internet Security Guard will barrage any computer that it infects with a series of fraudulent warning messages, popups and system scans that portray the PC in question as being under attack by a wide range of malicious software.
Some of the many warning samples that SpywareRemove.com malware researchers have found include:
Warning! Access conflict detected!
An unidentified program is trying to access system process address space.
Process Name: AllowedForm
Location: [executable file path]
Warning
Warning! Virus detected
Threat Detected: Trojan-Spy.HTML.Sunfraud.a
Warning! Identity theft attempt detected
Memory access problem
WindowsErrorForm has encountered a problem at address 0x1FC408.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If you see this error again, operational information can be irrevocably lost.
Warning! Virus detected
Threat Detected: Trojan-PSW.VBS.Half
Description: This is a VBScript-virus. It steals user’s passwords.
An unauthorized program has been prevented from accessing your PC.#Port:433 from 92.11.127.10
An unidentified program-potentially: %ThreatPath% #malicious and able to modify system files- has been prevented from getting installed on your PC.
Port scan detected at port %portnumber%.
An unidentified program tries to access your computer
Regrettably, the fake errors that are noted above actually are Internet Security Guard's less-dangerous functions, since Internet Security Guard has also been observed to use Trojans to:
- Hijack your web browser and redirect it to the Internet Security Guard website (or to block you from reaching PC security sites).
- Block arbitrary programs, especially programs that contain functions that could be used to help remove Internet Security Guard (such as anti-virus scanners and Windows utilities like Task Manager).
How to Fire Internet Security Guard without Consequences for Your PC
Since prolonged exposure to Internet Security Guard's attacks can be a significant security risk for your PC, SpywareRemove.com malware research team recommends that you delete Internet Security Guard as soon as you have access to dependable anti-malware software. Although, as scamware, Internet Security Guard may pretend to include a complete removal tool for itself, the chances of Internet Security Guard removing all of its components upon request are essentially nil, in addition to the strong possibility of related PC threats (such as browser hijackers or trojan droppers) also being on your computer.
However, registering Internet Security Guard can, in some cases, be helpful during the removal process. Since spending money on this is highly-inadvisable, the following pair of freely-circulated codes are available without charge: 'K7LY-R5GU-SI9D-EVFB', 'K7LY-H4KA-SI9D-U2FD' and 'U2FD-S2LA-H4KA-UEPB.'
As a clone of other rogue anti-malware programs from the FakeScanti family, Internet Security Guard can also be found duplicated under other (and equally-fraudulent) brand-names, such as Security Guard, Sysinternals Antivirus, WireShark Antivirus, Milestone Antivirus, BlueFlare Antivirus, Wolfram Antivirus, OpenCloud Antivirus, OpenCloud Security, Data Restore, OpenCloud AV, Security Guard 2012, AV Guard Online, Cloud Protection, AV Protection Online, System Protection 2012, AV Security 2012, Sphere Security 2012, AV Protection 2011 and Super AV 2013.
