Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

please take spyweare protect 2009 off my puter i got all the pertection i need
My computer got infected with the Spyware Protect malware, even though I had all Microsoft updates on my computer as well as a firewall (Trend) - this nasty malware still got through. Basically, I have been unable to use my computer since - scanning didn't do anything and attempts to get rid of it resulted in a frozen computer.
Don't assume that your firewall and Microsoft updates are going to take care of this. My one year old computer is now worthless and I'm using my 5 year old computer (which is almost worhtless)
I got spyware protect 2009 a few days ago. I have tried a few solutions, and I no longer see it on my tray. However, I cannot see my Network connections module, nor can I connect to the internet through broadband cable connection. Can someone PLEASE help? Only if I could get back on the internet....
Thanks
All I am getting are the damn pop ins. They are disrupting everything. How do I stop them?
i have found this website too late, i recently had these problems with spyware 2009. i downloaded this program thinking it was an additional program suggested by my trial version of McAffee that was necessary to remove the potential threats it was telling me were on my computer. but as soon as i completed the forms the threats that had said mild to moderate threat now said infected. i took my computer to The Geek Squad so they could help me fix this problem. they were able to fix my computer but it ended up costing me $350 in addition to the $49.95 that i origionally paid to get the spyware 2009 that caused my problem in the first place. i have talked to my credit card company about the $49.95 charge, but i am wondering how i can get back the $350 from the spyware 2009 company since it is there program which caused the problems on my computer which cost $350 to fix. if i could get any advice with this dilema it would be greatly appreciated.
You can START>RUN>SEARCH for sysguard.exe. You should find it here>>>
C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch
delete the file with the name SYSGUARD...
and here>>>
C:\WINDOWS\sysguard.exe
delete that file as well.
You may also find it using start>run>msconfig startup tab - sysguard.exe
disable it there, but do the other 2 first. It may be gone @ next start up.
Good luck.
Awil Avast found it too.
Didnt do the trick for me.. tool didnt even find anything.
Still stuck with it fcol....
Anyone got ideas or tips I could try?
I could not find sysguard.exe on my pc.

when i type in system protect 2009 in search, nothing appears
nothing appeas in the search box
What do you do if none of the above is showing when you run the scans but you still get all the pop-ups for the spyware protect 2009?
I think this Spyware Protect 2009 has messed up my internet and has made it impossible tp keep the internet up to download the required Malware scanner. Does anyone know an alternate route that doesn't involve the internet but can still get rid of this virus. (spyware protect 2009)
Got rid of sysguard and popups but its still grabbing my browser sessions
i tried several things to get rid of spyware protect 2009 and its not listed anywhere on my hard drive. so now what?
I am ashamed to admit I fell for it hook line and sinker. And paid them! I realized it was a scam when it stopped updating... Is there a way to get my money back?
