Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Windows 7 Defender 2013 or Win 7 Defender 2013 is a new member of the FakeRean family of fake anti-virus programs, and like all similar types of scamware doesn't have any of the plentiful security features that Windows 7 Defender 2013 claims to possess. By using fake system scans and a range of pop-ups for incorrect system warnings, Win 7 Defender 2013 encourages you to spend money on its registration key, although SpywareRemove.com malware experts strongly discourage purchasing Windows 7 Defender 2013 or any other security programs that look similar to Windows 7 Defender 2013. Far from being associated with the real Windows Defender, Windows 7 Defender 2013 doesn't have any ability to protect your computer and may even harm it by blocking necessary security software. As a result, it's recommended that you use any measures necessary terminate Windows 7 Defender 2013 and then remove Windows 7 Defender 2013 with an actual anti-malware product.
Win 7 Defender 2013 – a Scam's Retooling a Year Ahead of Schedule
Windows 7 Defender 2013 may attempt to look like a real anti-virus program but is readily-discernible as a copy of other fake AV products from its family. Newfound members of Windows 7 Defender 2013's WinPC Defender family include Ultimate Defender, SystemDefender, IE Defender, Advanced XP Defender, XP Defender, WinDefender2008, PCTotalDefender, PC Defender 2008, Personal Defender 2009, WinDefender 2009, Perfect Defender 2009, Total Defender, Malware Defender 2009, WinPC Defender, PC Privacy Defender, Smart Defender Pro, Rogue.UltimateDefender, FraudTool.LastDefender.b and Security Defender Pro 2015. Windows 7 Defender 2013's relatives are often distributed by Trojan downloaders, particularly members of the Tibs family (a Trojan network that infects computers via e-mail spam).
Besides several fake security features, including 'proactive protection' and a fake firewall, Windows 7 Defender 2013 also launches system scans and displays pop-ups automatically. These scans and pop-ups are designed to display inaccurate security information, and SpywareRemove.com malware experts warn that attempting to delete files that Windows 7 Defender 2013 considers 'infected' may damage innocent programs. Despite being a recent version of this FakeRean-based scam, Windows 7 Defender 2013 still wants the same old thing: money via an online registration process.
How Leaning on Windows 7 Defender 2013's Defense Will Get You Stabbed in the Back
While Windows 7 Defender 2013 can't protect your PC from viruses, worms or other types of malware that Windows 7 Defender 2013 claims to detect, Windows 7 Defender 2013 is likely to include at least one well-function capability: the ability to block unrelated programs, particularly security and anti-malware software. If Windows 7 Defender 2013 blocks anti-malware software that could be used in Windows 7 Defender 2013's removal, SpywareRemove.com malware researchers suggest disabling Windows 7 Defender 2013 before you try to get rid of Windows 7 Defender 2013 and any Trojans that may be linked to its presence.
Disabling Windows 7 Defender 2013 can use either Safe Mode (available to all Windows PCs) or a fresh system boot from a USB device. After Windows 7 Defender 2013 is disabled, any tolerably-competent software security product should be able to identify and delete Windows 7 Defender 2013 without requiring that you register Windows 7 Defender 2013 or spend money on Windows 7 Defender 2013. Because Windows 7 Defender 2013 may also make undesirable settings changes that increase the danger to your web-browsing experience, you should be certain that all web browser-related Registry settings are at normal levels once you've removed Windows 7 Defender 2013.
