Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A, currently estimated to be a variant of the banking Trojan Zeus, is a backdoor Trojan distributed by recent spam e-mail attacks centered around Germany. These e-mail messages are designed to look like notifications of payment problems related to a delivery from Hardwareversand Ltd – a legitimate hardware company. However, victims so foolhardy as to open the accompanying file attachment as instructed will infect their computers with TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A, which grants criminals remote access to the infected system while also conducting attacks designed to steal confidential information. SpywareRemove.com malware researchers stress that you always should scan suspicious files before opening them and recommend using nothing less than the most effective anti-malware software you have to delete TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A, which is a high-level threat to your PC's security.
TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A: Delivering Malware and Demanding Your Money in the Same Breath
TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A uses spam e-mail as the main vehicle for its distribution to new computers, with the current e-mail being targeted explicitly at German-speaking PC users – preferably, ones who have a habit of shopping for PC hardware online. By claiming to be a notification from a debt collection agency regarding the payment for a hardware order, these e-mails attempt to lure victims into opening a ZIP-archived file attachment, which is labeled 'mahnung' (German for 'reminder'). This seemingly innocuous file is the Trojan TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A, which, SpywareRemove.com malware experts warn, is designed to conduct sophisticated attacks against your PC's security. Some issues related to TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A infections can include:
- TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A injects malicious code into unrelated memory processes. This has a dual purpose of concealing TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A's components and bypassing various security features.
- TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A also opens a connection with a C&C server. This backdoor connection can be used to control your computer, send instructions to TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A or allow TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A to install other PC threats.
- There also is some evidence of TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A including spyware functions that would allow TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A to steal confidential information from your computer – such as the login data of your bank account.
Paying Your Due to PC Safety While Protecting Yourself from Fraudulent Debts
Like almost all spam e-mail messages, TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A's e-mails require the victim to be so unwise as to open the accompanying file attachment intentionally. A simple anti-malware scan should reveal the file's true nature as TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A, and it always should be kept in mind that legitimate notifications from debt companies don't have any reason to enclose unusual files (particularly ones that are enclosed in ZIP archives).
SpywareRemove.com malware researchers also suggest the use sophisticated anti-malware software for deleting TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A after TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A has infected your computer. Because TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A uses code-injection attacks and similar functions that are meant to work around your PC's standard security features, you should be wary of attempting to remove TR/Dldr.Esitgun.A without relevant anti-malware tools or, at least, the help of a reliable PC security professional.
