Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.

Adware.iBryte.R is a variant of the IBryte Optimum Installer, a program noted for installing similarly-branded adware for your Web browser. Most adware programs aren't intentionally threatening, but malware experts rarely find any that practice good safety procedures for their advertisements, which may host a variety of PC threats, including common types of threat-installing exploits. With no pressing reasons for keeping Adware.iBryte.R on your PC, you may want to consider removing Adware.iBryte.R with your choice of favorite anti-adware tools.
When to Avoid Brightening Your Web Browser
Malware experts see Adware.iBryte.R and other iBryte spinoffs on a range of 'free' software sites that merely don't mention the additional adware they bundle with their downloads. With its installation, which may happen with minimal or no consent, Adware.iBryte.R may modify your browser so that Adware.iBryte.R may load new advertisements on arbitrary Web pages. Symptoms of iBryte may include pop-ups or underlined advertising links injected into text sites.
Previously, malware experts rated Firefox as most susceptible to these modifications, but other browsers also may be at risk. With respect to all of this 'extra' content, Adware.iBryte.R advertisements may endanger you or your PC by loading fraudulent software updates or other tactics that disguise attacks from threats. Phishing-based tactics may be a considerable secondary issue that malware experts see on advertising networks for adware like Adware.iBryte.R. Finally, Adware.iBryte.R advertisements also may change website interfaces in unusual ways that harm your ability to navigate through them or interact with content appropriately. Terminating the program that causes your browser's exposure is a good security practice, without even taking into account the fact that Adware.iBryte.R may cause other performance-related issues.
Turning out the Lights on Adware.iBryte.R
Adware.iBryte.R and all other PUP.IBryte variants, so far, are classified within the Potentially Unwanted Program grouping of unwanted software. Although neither illegal nor deliberately toxic, Adware.iBryte.R does not benefit your PC through its advertising features, and may disrupt the safety or aesthetics of your Web-surfing experience. Considering the uneven tradeoffs, you should delete Adware.iBryte.R with anti-adware software unless you have unusually pressing reasons to avoid such an obvious recourse.
Because of its overlap with legitimate toolbars and add-ons, in terms of format, you may be tempted to remove Adware.iBryte.R through your Web browser's internal settings. Such a solution, while adequate for most applications, may not succeed at deleting all browser changes caused by adware, browser hijackers and other, common PUPs. Whenever keeping your browser safe is an immediate concern, malware researchers recommend the diligent use of the proper security products. In most cases, hoping that Adware.iBryte.R may be kind enough to uninstall itself on request is a hope that you'll spend in vain.
