Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

ElectroLyrics is a browser add-on that simultaneously adds lyrics for you to follow along in online music videos while also showing you advertisements not related to its lyrical functions. Based on the installer files for ElectroLyrics currently under analysis, malware researchers surmise that ElectroLyrics is being distributed in bundles on software piracy-oriented downloading networks, making torrent users especially at risk. Like other adware, ElectroLyrics shouldn't be considered an overall beneficial program, and deleting ElectroLyrics with any trusted anti-malware program should be taken for granted as the best response to its sudden advertisements.
When an Electrified Browser Equals Commercialized Static
Behind its flashy name, ElectroLyrics is one of many similar browser add-ons based on Crossrider, a build-it-yourself toolbar construction platform that has been abused to create various Potentially Unwanted Programs, browser hijackers and adware toolbars. ElectroLyrics, like many other members of this family recently examined by malware experts, provides lyrics support for popular music video-streaming websites, but also makes needless browser changes to display its advertisements.
ElectroLyrics's advertisements are injected by way of modifying Web pages on the viewer's end, allowing ElectroLyrics to display advertisements for unrelated subject matter without letting you disable them or control how they're loaded. Because most adware programs are more interested in earning easy profit through pay-per-click methods than they are with keeping their users safe, malware researchers suggest being careful whenever you're taking up an ElectroLyrics advertisement on any offer ElectroLyrics may make. On the other hand, ElectroLyrics does mark its advertising content to let you distinguish ElectroLyrics from a normal site advertisement (and identify the fact that you have ElectroLyrics problems) through an obvious tag line: 'advertisements by LyricsMonkey'.
Lowering the ElectroLyrics Static for a Stable Browser
