Win Defrag is a rogue optimization tool which claims to provide proactive data protection. Win Defrag spreads by using Trojans to block legitimate software programs. This rogue program also produces popup warnings claiming that the disk is inaccessible and has lots of errors. The message falsely reports that ram memory is in danger of being lost and that the registry is under threat as well. Win Defrag will then urge unwary computer users to purchase a copy of Win Defrag to repair the computer. Win Defrag poses a severe threat to computer safety and should be removed immediately.
