The Searchello - Safe Search Engine is a Chrome extension, which promises to provide users with access to a brand new search engine whose results are tailored to only display safe content, and therefore improve the quality of the user's Web browsing experience. While this may sound like a great offer, we can't deny that a search engine that filters certain results sounds very fishy. Users who opt to install the Searchello - Safe Search Engine will not notice any major differences apart from the fact that their default search service will be replaced by Searchello.com. This means that all searches executed through the address bar will end up taking the user to a results page hosted on Searchello.com.

While changes of this sort are not harmful, a quick test we performed reveals that the Searchello - Safe Search Engine provides search results that are much different from the Google, Bing or Yahoo's results. Although we did not encounter any ads, we would advise our readers to stay away from Searchello.com because this search engine might prevent them from finding the content they are looking for by filtering the majority of the results.

If you have installed the Searchello - Safe Search Engine and you wish to remove it, then you can do so by running a suitable PC security utility or by simply using the Chrome Extension manager to uninstall the extension in question.
