Unfortunately, none of the variants similar to the Scarab-Skype Ransomware are decryptable, and the victims of this cyber-threat will not be able to rely on free a free decryptor. The only solution is offered by the authors of the Scarab-Skype Ransomware, who demand a significant ransom payment in exchange for their decryption software. While this offer might seem like an easy way out of this unfortunate situation, we assure you that sending money to cybercriminals is a terrible idea, and you should never agree to comply with the demands of anonymous hackers.
The Scarab-Skype Ransomware may be propagated via spam e-mails or by attempting to access remote desktop software that uses weak login credentials (usually the default ones). After the Scarab-Skype Ransomware is finished with the file-encryption stage of its attack, it usually deploys a ransom message, which is found in the file ‘HOW TO RECOVER ENCRYPTED FILES.txt.’ The instructions in the message state that the attackers are willing to recover up to three files free of charge as soon as you message them at lalalendkiss@gmail.com. While this offer is one that you should take advantage of, we assure you that it is not a 100% proof that the attackers will help you restore the rest of your files if you meet their demands. The advice is to disregard the payment request made by the Scarab-Skype Ransomware’s authors.
The bad news is that there is no reliable way to recover from the attack of the Scarab-Skype Ransomware fully. The leading thing to do is to use a trustworthy anti-virus software product to eliminate the corrupted files responsible for the attack. When this is done, you might want to try using 3rd-party file recovery utilities since they sometimes may be able to undo some of the damage caused by cyber-threats like the Scarab-Skype Ransomware.
