Pegasus Malware

Pegasus malware is a flaw that was discovered within the WhatsApp messenger application. What is suspected to be Pegasus spyware, has been the culprit in the WhatsApp messenger attack potentially affecting the 1.5 billion users of the app.

Facebook has notified users of WhatsApp to update their app to ward off the threat of the spyware. However, Pegasus looks to have utilize and leveraged remote code execution through a targeted phone number on affected versions of WhatsApp.

Those who suspect their device is affected through an attacked version of WhatsApp are urged to immediately remove the app or update it to the most recent version.
