Minesey Extension

The Minesey Extension is a Chrome add-on, which offers to give users the ability to enjoy the classic Minesweeper game from their Web browser directly. While it is true that the installation of the Minesey Extension will introduce a button, which can be used to launch Minesweeper in Chrome, we'd also like to add that this add-on will introduce another change that users might not enjoy as much. According to the permissions that the Minesey Extension requests, this add-on will replace the default Chrome search engine to Minesey.com – a change that is not unsafe but might have a negative impact on your ability to search the Web.

Although the Minesey Extension is not unsafe, we would not recommend installing it since the Minesey Extension brings unwanted changes to your browser's configuration. Another reason to avoid this add-on is that anti-virus product vendors have added it as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) to their databases so that they also believe that its functionality is questionable, to say the least.

Removing the Minesey Extension is the best way to ensure that this add-on will not bother you with unwanted changes ever again. Don't forget that you do not need Minesey installed to enjoy the minesweeper game since it can be downloaded for free on hundreds of websites that are one Web search away from you.
