LightNeuron
LightNeuron has been ousted as a backdoor trojan horse that may infect a vulnerable PC without any indication to the computer user. Furthermore, LightNeuron could be leveraged in ways by cybercrooks or hackers to connect to the infected system and either instruct the computer to carry out malicious actions over the Internet or provide access to data stored on its hard drive.
The target for LightNeuron has been noted to be specifically Microsoft Exchange servers. However, computer security experts believe that there are Linux variations of LightNeuron that exist targeting such systems as well.
IN the retrospect of how dangerous threats like LightNeuron are, it is in one's best interest to always scan systems using trusted antimalware tools so threats like LightNeuron can be detected and eliminated.
