Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

iVIDI (or 'Ads by iVIDI') is an adware program – or a program with no purpose beyond forcing your browser to load additional advertising content. This content may be injected into other Web pages as graphical elements. iVIDI also may include pop-ups, interstitials (advertisements loaded 'in between' traveling from one website to a second one) and other formats. Since there are inherent security and performance issues in such advertising, removing iVIDI with an anti-adware product is the response most PC owners should endorse before all others.
'Veni, Vidi, Vici' Your Web Browser
iVIDI is adware that may be seen in Internet Explorer, although malware experts suspect some variants of being compatible with Chrome and Firefox. Along with being promoted through the ividi.org website, iVIDI also may be installed in bundles with unrelated products, typically freeware. Other PUPs that may be linked to iVIDI, but distinct from it, include at least one Firefox homepage hijacker promoting Search.ividi.org, and that same website's movie-streaming add-on. Due to a lack of evidence of illicit activities, malware experts classified the latter as a PUP. However, some PC security institutions have rated iVIDI and its corresponding website as being threatening.
Whatever the nature of the business that's surrounding it, iVIDI's purpose limits itself to modifying your browser for delivering new advertisements. Advertisements loaded with iVIDI may modify the format of an unrelated Web page, increase loading times or interfere with content accessibility. Most samples of iVIDI advertisements also included pop-up advertisements in separate windows, which continued to load without any respect for the default browser's pop-up settings. Conventional advertisement-blocking extensions also fail to block iVIDI advertisements from loading its extra content.
Paddling Down the Movie Streams without Accompanying Advertisements
iVIDI's company relies on the eagerness of Web surfers for finding movie-streaming content without bothering to check the necessary prerequisites beforehand. Drivers, codec updates, and even specialized movie players may be useful parts of any cinematic Web experience. However, malware researchers would discourage finding such resources from sites even if a minority of companies have labeled it as being threatening. Misleading movie links that insist on you downloading iVIDI or other iVIDI brand products before viewing their content also should be considered as being nothing less than potential attacks against your computer.
You can use anti-adware products for removing iVIDI whenever necessary, although additional scans from other security tools may be necessary for resolving the consequences of contact with its advertisements. Malware researchers did confirm that users of the latest versions of Windows are vulnerable to iVIDI installations. Despite that evidence, most forms of adware are designed with a wide range of compatibility in mind, regardless.
