Hunter Stealer
Russian malware developers continue to profit from their projects by selling them or renting them to other cybercriminals. The latest malware project to adopt this strategy is the Hunter Stealer. The first advertisements for it were published on the 25th of October, and the criminals are offering a limited, one-month version for 550 Rubles (around $7). The criminals also can spend 4000 Rubles (around $50) for a lifetime license. In return, the buyers get full access to the Hunter Stealer malware, as well as a ready-to-use Telegram bot.
The Hunter Stealer relies on a Telegram channel to work as its Command-and-Control server, and the implant is able to collect data from popular Web browsers. In addition to this, the infostealer can grab Discord tokens, Telegram and Steam session and files from the desktop.
Publicly sold malware like the Hunter Stealer has the potential to be threatening exceptionally because it may be used by dozens of criminals at a time easily. Thankfully, such projects also are very easy to spot by anti-virus companies. All users who keep their devices secured by an anti-malware application are unlikely to be in danger because of the Hunter Stealer.
