Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Faststartpage.com is a page that is meant to host a search engine that may provide users with access to some extended features and quick links. However, at the moment, Faststartpage.com redirects to Net-quick.com, another domain that serves a similar purpose by hosting a slightly customized Google Search feature. Both domain names appear to host legitimate content, but there is another reason why they were spotted by security researchers – both Net-quick.com and Faststartpage.com appear to be linked to browser hijacking software that may apply changes to a Web browser's settings without the user's knowledge.
The good news is that browser hijacking software is not identified as unsafe or potentially harmful. These applications often may be used to generate traffic for less popular Web destinations like Faststartpage.com. Their installation involves manual download rarely, and most users may end up installing a browser hijacker when they download a software bundle that offers them to install 3rd-party utilities that claim to provide various features and extras. Some of these 'offers' may include a new default homepage, new tab page, or a default search engine just like Faststartpage.com. If you are affected by this problem, then you should not be too worried since neither Faststartpage.com nor the software linked to it are classified as threatening.
However, the lack of harmful behavior does not mean that the Faststartpage.com hijacker is not a top candidate for removal. If you see either Faststartpage.com or Net-quick.com when you use your Web browser, then it might be a good idea to run a cyber security application that'll detect and remove the intrusive hijacker.
