Adware.Conduit.13 is adware that may compromise online searches of the web user by changing search results with sponsored links and diverting the computer user to questionable websites with mainly advertorial-like content. Adware.Conduit.13 may embed a potentially unwanted add-on, plug-in or extension in Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome when PC users install various freeware from the Web. When computer users install any free apps and not pay attention to any additional tools that may be added to the installation process, they may also install undesirable add-ons like Adware.Conduit.13 on their PCs. When installed, Adware.Conduit.13 may hijack and modify an online search box in any website and substitute it with its own.
