HDD Scan
HDD Scan, or HDDScan, is a fake defragmenter program created by scammers and used to extort money from unsuspecting PC users. HDD Scan was released shortly after another rogue defragmenter utility called Disk Doctor. HDD Scan uses bogus, deceptive alerts stating that there's hard drive problems and system errors. HDD Scan prevents some existing software on a user's computer from executing. With HDD Scan appearing to be the only program that works, PC users may feel the need to hastily purchase the program to solve the security issues. HDD Scan is a complete scam and PC users should use a legitimate malware removal tool to remove HDDScan.
