How to Uninstall Samsung Kies
Samsung Kies is an outdated software suite provided by Android. Samsung Kies is meant to provide owners of mobile devices running versions of Android 4.2 or lower the ability to manage their files and device from their Windows or macOS computer. If you have moved on to a more modern Android device, then you do not need Samsung Kies any longer, and you should remove it. The quickest way to remove Kies is:
Uninstalling Samsung Kies on Windows
Make sure to disconnect Android devices connected to the computer, and then close all instances of Samsung Kies. Open the Start Menu, and go to Apps -> Apps & Features. You need to find 'Samsung Kies' in the list of programs, and then pick the 'Uninstall' option.
Uninstalling Samsung Kies on macOS
Disconnect Android devices before proceeding, and then quit Samsung Kies completely. Head to Finder -> Applications, and then move 'Kies' to the trash bin. To make sure that there are not any leftover files, check and clean the following directories:
- ~/Library/Caches/com.samsung.Kies
- ~/Library/Preferences/com.samsung.Kies.plist
- ~/Library/Frameworks/SamsungKiesFoundation.framework
