PDFSpark is the name of a Mac-compatible software suite that aims to provide its users with the ability to view, annotate and convert PDF files. According to the program’s official website, it is only compatible with Mac computers, and users are not required to pay anything to use it. However, reports from users show that the PDFSpark software installer may often offer to install 3rd-party bundled applications that fit the description of adware and browser hijackers. It is highly recommended to pay close attention if you are installing the PDFSpark utility since it may attempt to trick you into agreeing to add 3rd-party software to your Mac.

The PDFSpark is classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP), and it should not be treated as a potentially harmful program. Removing it is not mandatory, but you should know that there are much more trustworthy PDF management software suites than PDFSpark if this is what you are looking for.

While using PDFSpark should not cause issues for you, you may want to consider looking for an alternative. If you are planning to dispose of the PDFSpark utility, we advise you to do so with the assistance of a reputable Mac security tool.
