RAT means Remote Administration Tool. It is a application, created for illegal remote accessing and controlling of other people's PCs. This RAT is a threat for all IRC users, because it has the "worm" ability. It means that this application will try to copy itself to any PC, which is not protected well enough. "Worms" usually don't insert themselves in to files, they usually try to replace them. It also has a "downloader" ability. Once the machine is infected, the virus will download a bigger trojan. Backdoor.Ashley Manual Removal Instructions
Backup Reminder: Always be sure to back up your PC before making any changes.To remove Backdoor.Ashley, you must first stop any Backdoor.Ashley processes that are running in your computer's memory. To stop all Backdoor.Ashley processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for Backdoor.Ashley, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.
To delete Backdoor.Ashley registry keys, open the Windows Registry Editor by clicking on the Windows "Start" button and selecting "Run." Type "regedit" into the box and click "OK." Once the Registry Editor is open, search for the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Backdoor.Ashley." Right-click this registry key and select "Delete."
Finally, to completely get rid of Backdoor.Ashley, you must manually remove other Backdoor.Ashley files. These Backdoor.Ashley files can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, Backdoor.Ashley might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%\Backdoor.Ashley\Backdoor.Ashley.exe. Locate and remove these files.
