ACXInstall is a malicious ActiveX control that silently gets into the computer while visiting some insecure web sites. It downloads from the Internet and installs arbitrary software without asking for user permission. ACXInstall usually drops dialers that connect a compromised PC to the Internet through premium rate phone numbers. These dialers provide access to mostly pornographic web resources.
