| Viruses are malware created mostly for destruction: they work to delete your important files and make your system completely unusable. By definition, viruses don't use network resources to spread, although they may be spread across a network as part of another worm. They will often rely on you to unknowingly send them on, typically through emails, pirated software, or removable media such as CDs or DVDs. |
